Birmingham hands. Yours alone.

“Each piece is shaped between polished and raw. The hammer is the signature.”

THE STUDIO

Silux London was founded by Hamed Arab, a jewellery designer trained at Birmingham City University and author of “The CaD/Cam Jeweller”. Hamed draws from the Persian goldsmithing tradition: the hammered surface, the coloured stone, the tension between polished and raw. Every piece is made to order in 18ct yellow gold in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, one of the world’s most concentrated craft districts. The Hammered Gold Collection, launched 2026, is the first formal expression of this language. No catalogue. No duplication.

THE PROCESS

From conversation to commission.

STEP 01

We talk

You share what you have in mind: a stone, a feeling, an occasion. We listen before we design.

STEP 02

We design

Hamed produces drawings and, where needed, a digital model in Rhino. You approve before any gold is touched.

STEP 03

We hammer

The band is formed in 18ct yellow gold and worked by hand. The stone is set only when the band is right.

STEP 04

You wear

The finished piece is hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office, photographed, and delivered to you.

PROVENANCE

Designed and handcrafted in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, a World Craft City. Silk Road heritage. Global reach.

Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter received World Craft City recognition from the World Crafts Council in 2025, joining Kyoto and Jaipur as one of the world’s designated centres of craft excellence. Silux London works within this tradition: each piece is made and hallmarked here, carrying over two centuries of goldsmithing knowledge.

COMMISSION

Commission yours.

Every Silux piece begins with a conversation. No waiting lists. No catalogue. Tell us the stone, the feeling, the occasion, and we begin.
