What we collect
Enquiry and commission forms. When you submit a commission brief or contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the content of your message. This includes any stone preferences, budget ranges, and timeline details you share.
Cookies and analytics. We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors arrive at the site and which pages they visit. No advertising cookies are used. Cookie consent is collected on first visit and can be changed at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
Email correspondence. If you email us directly, we retain that correspondence as part of your enquiry record.
We do not collect payment card details directly. Payment, where applicable, is handled by Stripe. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
Why we collect it and the legal basis
To respond to your enquiry. We process your contact details under the legal basis of legitimate interest: you have written to us, and we need your details to reply. If a commission proceeds, the basis shifts to performance of a contract.
To improve the site. Analytics data is processed under your consent (which you give or withhold via the cookie banner on first visit).
We do not use your personal data for marketing unless you have specifically subscribed to our newsletter. Newsletter subscriptions are collected via an opt-in field and processed under your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
How long we keep your data
Enquiry records: three years from the date of last contact, or the completion of a commission, whichever is later.
Analytics data: retained in aggregated, anonymised form indefinitely. Individual session data is deleted after 26 months.
Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing.
We use the following service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Stripe (payment processing, where applicable)
- Resend (transactional email delivery for enquiry notifications)
- Google Analytics or equivalent (anonymised site analytics, if cookies accepted)
- Hetzner (server infrastructure; data remains within the European Economic Area)
Each provider operates under a data processing agreement compliant with UK GDPR.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, subject to any legal retention obligation
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

Complaints
If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would welcome the opportunity to resolve any concern directly before a formal complaint is made.
